After reading The Notes 1, there were more questions than answers to be honest.

1. Seokjin had a childhood friend with the surname Choi. This boy was taken by a group of men. It seems like this boy’s father owes some money to some shark loans and his father has taken into hiding. Seokjin tries to help his friend run away from the men, but it was Seokjin’s father who turned his friend in.

2. Seokjin’s childhood: Jin’s mother has died and he was sent to LA as a kid to be raised by his grandmother. He and his father don’t seem to have a good relationship. Jin’s childhood seems to revolve around the idea of wanting someplace to belong as well as his becoming too obedient in order to appease his father.

3. Seokjin was in a romantic relationship with the girl in the highlight reel.

4. Seokjin’s father works for a company that is in charge of the city’s development. One of their projects is to demolish certain areas including Namjoon’s trailer and Yoongi’s workroom.

5. Jungkook was abandoned by his father when he was seven years old. His father seemed depressed and chose to leave Jungkook and his mom because he believed he had nothing to offer Jungkook.

6. Jungkook has a habit of hurting himself.

7. Yoongi’s mother told him that he should have never been born. Or something to that effect. It had enough lasting impression for Yoongi to feel guilty about his own existence.

8. One of Namjoon’s new friends when he left Songju was someone he found to be very similar to Taehyung. This friend ended up dying after doing a delivery that Namjoon was supposed to do but had to pass up on due to his father’s illness.

9. It was Namjoon’s father who encouraged him to go back to Songju.

10. Taehyung’s mother is still alive. She abandoned him and his sister one night after they were all beaten up by his dad. Taehyung knows where she lives.

11. On the night Taehyung’s mother left them, Taehyung followed her and realized that she was not looking back at all. Taehyung decided to return back to his sister and dad.

12. Taehyung dreams of their “alternative” futures. In Save Me, he dreams of Yoongi, Jungkook and Namjoon. Eventually, the dream got replaced by a dream of Seokjin crying and flowers. By the end of the book, Taehyung’s nightmare has been replaced by a fire and Namjoon’s death.

13. Taehyung’s dad continued to live with him and his sister even after their fight. His sister is in contact with their mother.

14. The reason why Jimin had a seizure on that day with Hoseok was because he saw the shuttle bus to the Flower Arboretrum.

15. Jimin is being kept in the mental hospital by his parents.

16. When Jimin returned to his parents after escaping from the hospital, he wanted to find a way to let his parents know that he can function outside of the hospital, thus he joined Hoseok’s dance group.

17. When Jimin was found unconscious at the flower arboretrum when he was a child, he was covered in mud.

18. There was an article at the back of The Notes 1 of a five year old child that had been missing. The child was found by mountaineers.

19. Hoseok has a dance group called Just Dance. Due to his frustration with his friends, he decides to leave town. He eventually met a travelling dance group and met the director who used to be a dancer but unfortunately had to retire from dancing due to an injury.

20. Namjoon decided to keep the light on the container on as an open invitation to anyone who wants to come back after the fall out.
